The Calloway County Jail is a 129-bed correctional facility constructed in 1996, that houses state and county inmates. In addition to the main jail they have a 34-bed Workhouse. The Jailer is Ken Claud who was elected in 2014. There are 25-fulltime and 4 –part time employees and an ARNP on staff.
Inmates have the opportunity to participate in programs that may help them upon their release from the facility. Some of these programs are GED Classes, NA and Substance Abuse Counseling. Inmates have access to an in-house law library and library cart privileges. Commissary is offered once a week so inmates may purchase hygiene and paper items or snack foods and drinks.
